Meet Miss Daisy

So the time had come that we needed to decide to join the bandwagon of campers or not.....well the family peer pressure was too much for Gary and I so we broke down and purchased a pop-up camper.  It's not the high quality camping that the rest of the family is doing but Gary and I wanted to test the camping waters before we decided to go for the gusto....so we would like to introduce everyone to Miss Daisy.

Now if you know me you are probably chuckling thinking to yourself....Colene camping?  Ella camping?  Emily...well yes, we can all see Emily camping. But first let me first correct your wording.....we are not camping...I prefer to refer to it as glamping.  My thoughts are if you are going to do it you might as well look good while at it!

Our color inspiration came from two blankets that were made many years ago by my Grandma Amy.  Take those quilts and add "necessities" that are pink, blue, yellow or green and this was our finished product.

Now I know what you are thinking....poor Gary.  But don't be fooled, Gary has become quite accustomed to living the girly life.  But there is a funny side note...Gary's friend Kris Showwalter and his daughter visited during our first outing.  Kris told Gary the next day that as they were leaving the campsite that his daughter said in an asking but knowing the answer tone...."Gary didn't decorate that camper, did he....."   Made both Gary and I chuckle.

The big bed - added lights and cloth pocket organizer to hold our "stuff" on both bunks
The girl's side -  added hanging cloth shelves for clothing storage on both sides.

Our dining area -  covered the old cushions and turned this into a great place to share meals.

Didn't think we would leave home without the microwave and coffee maker :)
